The extended layout was created taking into account the possibilities of using the keyboard with or without a NumLock.

Attention!
Be sure to install the SWS extension!

Actions on various key combinations are assigned so that it is easier to remember them, so that if possible they can be grouped either on certain groups of keys, or on keys that somehow coincide with the first letter of the assigned actions. Of course, this principle can not always be applied, but where possible it is applied. So for example on the h "help" key, or on its combinations with different modifiers assigned to the command or otherwise associated with a certificate.

The V "virtual" key is assigned to open the virtual mode dialog for the object in focus.

Also, in assignments, certain modifiers can also focus on which objects actions will be directed to. For example, the most common feature of working with tracks is adding Alt modifiers, a sign of working with clips modifier control, a sign of working with selection modifier shift, a sign of working with automation tracks are Alt plus VIN, and clips are control plus VIN.

As mentioned above, this principle is not unambiguous, and of course, due to the many actions and combinations assigned to them, it is not possible to fully apply it.

Also, for easier memorization and understanding of the assignment logic, the keys are grouped as much as possible. For example, the keys responsible for the peak inspector are q w a. This group of keys with various modifiers controls or configures the display inspector.

Key group ` 1 2 3 with modifiers refers to the adjustment of the grid.

Key group / . '; mainly affects the configuration of the tracks: solo, plug, preparation for recording and monitoring.

Key group [ ] - = with modifiers controls various kinds of movements on the grid, points, markers, and regions.

Key group from F1 to F8 is responsible for working with effects. NumLock focuses on commands for moving objects, changing the borders of objects, changing the speed and pitch of sound, and some other useful functions for working with sound. For users

laptops or those who do not have a NumLock keyboard many of the keys that make up the NumLock are duplicated with the keys y u i 6 7 8 9 0.

The V c f d key group starts virtual dialogs or other dialogs for searching and assigning various functions to objects.

Keys from F9 to F12 without assignments, it is assumed that users can use them to assign the necessary actions for themselves.

In the Ear is implemented (multi-pressing), Such non-single keystrokes on the same key combination are assigned to actions that do not require an instant response from the program. For example, navigation commands do not affect a lot-click because they require speed of processing, but it makes sense to assign any menu or uniform actions to a lot-click, since this saves the number of combinations and makes it easier to remember actions based on the context of these clicks.

I hope that this principle of assignments will make it easier to understand and remember combinations that are convenient and quick to perform necessary actions.
