From the moment of installing «Ear» you are given 30 days to evaluate the capabilities and advantages of our software. After the specified period, you must acquire the rights to use the product or remove it. The only exception is the case when you use our software for non-commercial purposes, that is, not for the purpose of earning money.
Rights are acquired for a specified period in the form of a subscription:
A perpetual license is purchased for a specific major version of the product. Thus, if a user has purchased a perpetual license for «Ear» v.2.x.x.x, then upon release of «Ear» v.3.x.x.x, he will have to purchase a new license, albeit with a significant discount. At the same time, he will be able to continue to freely use «Ear» v.2.x.x.x and further, since the developer guarantees the operability of all versions of his product, but, of course, only if they are technically compatible with new versions of REAPER. Work on a new major version of the extension begins only when its current version is stable and all the previously announced functions have been implemented. It is assumed that each new major version of «Ear» should carry new, interesting, exclusive functionality.
The subscription has no restrictions on product versions. If a user has purchased a one-year subscription to an extension, and a new major version of «Ear» was released during this year, he will not have to pay extra, he will be able to continue to use the updated product without hindrance.
When the trial period ends, «Ear» continues to work in full-featured mode, but periodically reminds you to purchase the rights to use it. These periodic notifications are the only thing that distinguishes an unpaid version of a product from a paid one. Once again, we repeat, the extension with an expired subscription does not conceal any functional limitations, that is, all voiced commands are spoken, all implemented dialogs work, all algorithms, keyboard layouts and executable files are automatically updated ...
The acquired rights are attached to the key to which the user registers the product. The key, in turn, is tied to the user's computer, from which it was registered and activated. One key can be bound to only one computer at one moment. The user has the right to re-bind his key to any other computers any number of times, but he can do this no more than once a week.
The cost of the license is set by the developer, depends on the term and may change over time. The developer is not obliged to notify users in advance about changing prices.You need to track the current state of the cost of a subscription and / or a perpetual license on your key page.
If the user purchases a perpetual license while his previously purchased subscription has not expired, then the cost of this very perpetual license will be reduced by an amount directly proportional to the unspent days of the subscription.
The acquisition of rights is carried out on the key page, online, without the participation of the developer. Payment is possible only by the methods listed there. In case of successful payment, the user is provided with an electronic check, and the rights are automatically renewed according to the selected tariff.
