Currently, work is underway on ReaEar version 3.x.x.x. Mechanisms are planned for implementation to improve the access of the blind user to VST/DX effects and instruments. Mainly we are talking about access to the graphical interface of these software products, organized through various approaches, including, but not limited to:

  • pre-recording by a sighted user of certain actions with the effect/tool window using the mouse, and subsequent reproduction of these actions by a blind user;
  • the use of structured preset banks, with the storage of these banks in a centralized online storage, with the ability to search and download elements;
  • the use of graphics recognition technology to control the software interface;
  • analysis of the contents of RAM to identify certain changes related to the program interface;
  • etc...
